The scripture verse that touched me in particular today is – Proverbs 16:32
I want to be slow to anger, Lord. I want to be controlled by You. I want rule my spirit – I’d rather have You rule my spirit. My desire is to honor You with this fruit of self-control.
Love is not irritable…
This is my journal entry from when I first read this book: Unfortunately, sometimes I am irritable. But not right now. Even though I’m unemployed, I’m not at the mercy of a frazzled and frantic schedule. We may be strained in other areas, although the 401(k)s are coming in very handy at the moment. Right now, my schedule is wide open and doesn’t need to be reorganized.

Do you think that, maybe, we try to do too much under our own power? Why is it so difficult to let go and let God live through us? What does that look like in your life?
