Day Fourteen – The Love Dare: One Wife’s Journey


Back in October 2008, I wrote...

Love takes delight…

Tomorrow I will actually fulfill today’s dare by spending time with my husband by helping him do some chores around the house.

That was then, this is now...

Enjoy life with the wife you love all the days of your fleeting life. Ecclesiastes 9:9

Doesn’t this sound wonderful? Enjoyment of a marriage relationship is definitely possible. But EVERY DAY? How can someone pull that off? I think it’s impossible to delight in your spouse if you don’t experience some low points. You’d get spoiled if there were nothing but positive in your relationship. We need reasons to make up, I suppose. This is a tough thing to analyze.

Father, give me a heart and a disposition to enjoy my husband everyday. Remind me how short life is when I am tempted to dwell on the negative moments. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
