Back in October 2008, I wrote...
Love is impossible…
Oh, yeah. Especially today when I surprised my husband by turning down a job with a local casino. I was jazzed when I did it because I just knew that the Lord was leading me toward my other prospect (even though it hasn’t been formally offered to me, yet). But my husband’s reaction is making me second-guess whether I did the right thing.
That was then, this is now...
This is impossible, but with God all things are possible. Matthew 19:26
I believe today is the day we hit the very core of this journey through “The Love Dare”. We concentrate on marriage because it is the primary love relationship for many people. It’s a relationship that can be undermined and broken, and can do much harm to other lives when this happens. It’s the relationship closest to the center of the family unit, and it’s under attack by the enemy, people, society, the law. But “The Love Dare” journey isn’t really about marriage. It’s about God. Because of the hardness of our hearts, we are inherently incapable of love. Only God can love – through us, if we are so blessed.
Papa, love others through me. Especially, pour Your love on my husband through me. Love my children through me. I am so blessed to be Your instrument in this. And I am so thankful to experience Your love through them. Thank You, in Christ’s name, for Your love. Amen.
