“I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

04/17/09 God has plans for YOU! The Hebrew for the word “plans” translates as thought, device, plan, purpose, invention. I find it incredible that God may have invented a specific task for me to complete during my time on the earth. He molded my personality, likes, dreams, talents and love for Him all together to create the absolute perfect thing for me to do to share the gospel and spread His Word like wildfire throughout the earth. He’s done the same for you. Are you faithfully performing that task? Are you persevering even though it seems that the task you’ve been given is bearing no fruit right now? Are you trusting God to use what He has called you to do? It is His plan. You don’t need to understand. You just need to obey. Plant the seeds and trust Him to make them grow.

Homiletics Training: Content

Homiletics . By definition, “homiletic” is the art of preaching or writing sermons. I think we would all agree that our pastors study the Bible thoroughly to deliver sermons every Sunday to their congregations. The beautiful news is that every child of God can use this discipline to study the Bible for themselves. As a member of Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) Leadership, part of my required preparation each week is to prepare homiletics for the passage we are studying. BSF offers an engaging seminar on how to use this method to study the Scriptures. I’ve taken the seminar several times under two different leaders and I’ve learned something new every time I’ve attended. I’ve also been doing the process of homiletics for over ten years and I can say that there is no better teacher than the Holy Spirit in this process! So keep practicing. Keep sharing and discussing. Armor of God – Week One – Sizing Up The Enemy

Welcome to Boot Camp! For the next seven weeks we will be training with our weapons (God’s Word and prayer) in preparation for the battle of our lives and the lives of others! And we will be learning how to equip ourselves with the Armor of God. Priscilla Shirer’s Armor of God Bible study is a MUST-DO for EVERY BIBLE STUDENT! I don’t mean to shout, but I can’t emphasize this enough!!! We are at war boys and girls. And our enemy wants to keep us in the dark about that fact. If he can convince us that he does not exist or that our God is not good or that we are not loved and treasured by the King and Creator of the Universe, he wins the battle.
