Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur each other on toward love and good deeds. Hebrews 10:23-24
06/01/09 Unswervingly is a powerful word. What does it mean to you? To me, it means steady, focused, not changing direction, resolved, determined in course. Are you holding unswervingly to the hope that you profess? Do you profess hope in Christ? If a powerful storm were unleashed on your world, would you hold on to Christ with determination? Or would the slightest disappointment cause you to question His goodness? Is God good as long as you find your circumstances to be acceptable? Or has He proven Himself to be worthy of your praise and thanks in good times and in bad? He is tried and true. He is worthy of our praises every day, no matter the circumstances. Even in the bad times. Especially in the bad times because He never leaves us to endure them on our own.
