Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur each other on toward love and good deeds. Hebrews 10:23-24
02/24/09 We must encourage each other! Now that we have been given the gift of salvation, we must grow and mature in Jesus, swallow our pride, and take notice of how we can encourage each other to grow and mature in Him, as well. There is not room for pride in the ranks of Christian soldiers. When we tear each other down, we weaken God’s army. We reduce our effectiveness. We set an example that others (Christians and non-Christians alike) DON’T want to follow! Is that the sort of light you want to cast on the Lord? No. We must hold steadfastly to Jesus, the hope of our salvation. He is faithful. And we must contemplate how to motivate our brothers and sisters in Christ to love others and do God’s will. Trust me. It’s worth giving up your pride. How will you encourage someone today?
