“The Heart’s Pursuit” by Robin Lee Hatcher

Robin Lee Hatcher's latest novel, The Heart's Pursuit, is receiving critical praise: "The Old West lives again in this inspirational romantic adventure. . . . Themes of forgiveness, justice and mercy dominate the story and add to the characters' depth. Hatcher treats readers to a rich sensory experience—you can taste the desert dust and smell the smoke and stench of a crowded gambling hall." (Publishers Weekly)

Robin is celebrating the release of her novel by giving away a $200 "Romantic Weekend Getaway."

First, I would like to extend a heartfelt “Thank you” to Robin Lee Hatcher and her publisher for sending me a copy of "The Heart's Pursuit" to review for them. I am truly grateful for this generosity. I really appreciate the time, effort and expense it takes to make a reviewer copy available to me.
Once upon a time there was a young woman named Silver who was left at the altar by a cad who also stole everything in her Daddy’s safe.  When her stepmother arranges to send Silver away, she hires a bounty hunter to find her runaway groom, or rather the money that will save her family’s home and business.  What Silver doesn’t realize is that the bounty hunter, Jared Newman, is on a quest of his own to find the man who murdered his family and bring him to justice.

“The Heart’s Pursuit” by Robin Lee Hatcher is an incredibly engaging story with gripping narrative and appealing characters plunged into the dusty backdrop of the wild west!  I had never read a Robin Lee Hatcher novel before this, but Ms. Hatcher has such a talent for crafting prose that she made me a fan within the first few pages.  There is a thread of faith and godliness that runs through the tale that imparts wisdom without being preachy.  The appropriately named story follows the two main protagonists and their motives.  It made me examine my own reasoning for decisions I am making.

This is a thoroughly enjoyable read.  I have added Robin Lee Hatcher to my list of must read authors!

Homiletics Training: Content

Homiletics .   By definition, “homiletic” is the art of preaching or writing sermons.   I think we would all agree that our pastors study the Bible thoroughly to deliver sermons every Sunday to their congregations.   The beautiful news is that every child of God can use this discipline to study the Bible for themselves. As a member of Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) Leadership, part of my required preparation each week is to prepare homiletics for the passage we are studying.   BSF offers an engaging seminar on how to use this method to study the Scriptures.   I’ve taken the seminar several times under two different leaders and I’ve learned something new every time I’ve attended.   I’ve also been doing the process of homiletics for over ten years and I can say that there is no better teacher than the Holy Spirit in this process!   So keep practicing.   Keep sharing and discussing.   I’ve been posting my homiletics on this blog for quite a while, now.   And I would like to share wit
