“Raptor 6” by Ronie Kendig was tough to get into – but that’s a good thing. This novel took off at a run from page one and it took me a few chapters to catch up. Luckily, the chapters are short, so page-wise, I wasn’t lost for very long. And once I did catch up with the story, I was hooked on this grown up military suspense read. I was also captivated by the undercurrent of Christian romance in this gritty novel.
Zahrah Zarrick is a missionary teacher in Afghanistan who serves to assure these children receive an education. A possible Taliban bombing of the school crosses Zahrah’s path with that of Dean Watters, leader of the Special Forces Team.
The interaction of the main characters and the faith displayed by them has led me to pray that I would trust in and rely on God more than I would my husband or others I’ve become dependent upon.
