Dr. Missler has said repeatedly over the last seven weeks
that you can profile any church today based on chapters two and three of the
book of Revelation. The more I study
these churches of the past, the more I see their pattern in the churches I’ve
attended throughout my life.
We are approaching the end of life as we know it. Are you heeding the warnings to the seven
churches? Are you nurturing the
qualities for which Jesus commended these people? Are you using His Word as a mirror to examine
your life and change you? How will
studying these seven letters change your life?
Christ’s seven epistles of Revelation parallel Paul’s
epistles to the churches. The letter to
Ephesus parallels the book of Ephesians, the
I learned recently from another study that some scholars
believe there is a correlation between the seven kingdom parables of Matthew 13
and the letters to the churches of Revelation.
The church of Laodicea corresponds to the parable of the dragnet in
Matthew 13:47-52.
