Serving Up A Sweetheart by Cheryl Wyatt

They’ve helped orchestrate the perfect day for countless couples. Now twelve new couples will find themselves in the wedding spotlight in the second Year of Weddings novella collection.
Meadow knows how to serve delicious food to match any wedding theme. But can she accept love when it's served up on a silver platter?

During one of the biggest weeks of her catering career, Meadow Larson’s kitchen roof caves in after an unrelenting blizzard. She has to accept help from the last person on earth she wants to see: Colin McGrath. The tormentor from her past is now a contractor, her new neighbor—and the only person available to take on a project of this size.

Colin is aware God has given him a second chance to make things right with Meadow after bullying her in high school. After years of regret and guilt, Colin is determined to earn her respect and forgiveness, no matter what it takes.

It’ll take an extreme kitchen renovation, several cooking lessons, a little lace, and a lot of grace, but God is using this renovation project not only to restore Meadow’s heart, but also to restore Colin’s integrity in her eyes. Will Meadow learn to trust the new Colin even as their relationship grows from a business exchange to something more meaningful?

Here is my review of this touching novella:

First, I would like to extend a heartfelt “Thank you” to Cheryl Wyatt and her publisher for sending me a copy of "Serving Up A Sweetheart" to review for them. I am truly grateful for this generosity. I really appreciate the time, effort and expense it takes to make a reviewer copy available to me.

“Serving Up A Sweetheart” by Cheryl Wyatt tells the story of Meadow Larson, a busy caterer and Colin McGrath, a bully from Meadow’s past who has become a successful building contractor. Colin is remorseful over their past when he bumps into Meadow while she’s having a meltdown after several tragic happenings in a very short time. But Meadow isn’t willing to forget the past even though Colin doesn’t seem to be the same person he was in high school.

Cheryl Wyatt is a gifted storyteller. This sweet tale made me smile and laugh out loud. It also made me realize that it’s the good and the bad in our lives that makes us the people we are. This is an entertaining and inspiring novella. I highly recommend it.

Homiletics Training: Content

Homiletics .   By definition, “homiletic” is the art of preaching or writing sermons.   I think we would all agree that our pastors study the Bible thoroughly to deliver sermons every Sunday to their congregations.   The beautiful news is that every child of God can use this discipline to study the Bible for themselves. As a member of Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) Leadership, part of my required preparation each week is to prepare homiletics for the passage we are studying.   BSF offers an engaging seminar on how to use this method to study the Scriptures.   I’ve taken the seminar several times under two different leaders and I’ve learned something new every time I’ve attended.   I’ve also been doing the process of homiletics for over ten years and I can say that there is no better teacher than the Holy Spirit in this process!   So keep practicing.   Keep sharing and discussing.   I’ve been posting my homiletics on this blog for quite a while, now.   And I would like to share wit
