Redeemed Bible Study by Angela Thomas-Pharr


First, I would like to extend a heartfelt “Thank you” to Angela Thomas-Pharr and Lifeway for sending me a copy of "Redeemed" to review for them. I am truly grateful for this generosity. I really appreciate the time, effort and expense it takes to make a reviewer copy available to me.

“Redeemed” by Angela Thomas-Pharr is a beautiful Bible study about God’s love for us and geared to increase our love for Him and His people.  This seven session study is video-driven, but can be done effectively without watching the videos, but engaging God’s Word through six weeks of book work broken down over five days each week.

“Redeemed” is not just what we are as Christians.  It is what God is doing in us every day.  Each day of study will have the Bible student reading Angela’s stories, answering study questions, changing in accordance with God’s will, reading and meditating on Psalms and engaging the Lord in prayer.  This study found me at the perfect time: just as I entered a season of wanting so much more of Jesus!  And I am receiving what I long for as I work through each day of “Redeemed”.

Homiletics .   By definition, “homiletic” is the art of preaching or writing sermons.   I think we would all agree that our pastors study the Bible thoroughly to deliver sermons every Sunday to their congregations.   The beautiful news is that every child of God can use this discipline to study the Bible for themselves.
