My Identity in Christ #12 - I am tenderly loved


Now that my Bible Study group has finished Priscilla Shirer’s Armor of God study, I need to keep moving in the right direction.  Continuing this series of blog posts taken from the list Priscilla included in her 6th week of Bible study regarding our identity and inheritance in Christ.  I pray these reflections will open your eyes to how much God loves you.  Read them as if you wrote them.  Meditate on them.  God bless you.

Jeremiah 31:3 is a beautiful verse that teaches us God’s love is everlasting.  From the beginning of time through all eternity, He loves me…He loves you.  This verse also tells us that He draws us to Him.  He draws us to Him to save us.  He draws us to Him when we pray.  He draws us to Him to read His Word.  He draws us to Himself with unfailing kindness.  Think about that – kindness that never fails.  I am so drawn to that kindness, that tenderness, that gentleness, that love my Holy, Heavenly Father has for me...and you.

Homiletics .   By definition, “homiletic” is the art of preaching or writing sermons.   I think we would all agree that our pastors study the Bible thoroughly to deliver sermons every Sunday to their congregations.   The beautiful news is that every child of God can use this discipline to study the Bible for themselves.
