“Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.” Hebrews 13:5-6
06/12/09 Are you confident in the promises of God? Do you believe it when you read in His Word that He will never leave you? Do you know deep down that He will never forsake you? Do you believe that He is your helper? If you said yes to all of that, you’re not afraid. Right? Sometimes, I can say that I am not afraid. But other times, I am not that confident. When I was out of work for 13 months, I struggled with that. Deep down, I did trust that God was in control of my situation. I didn’t lose one single night of sleep because I really was at peace. But I questioned Him every day. I had to ask Him to help my unbelief every day. I prayed for Him to bring an end to my unemployment every day. I asked Him to lead me through each interview. I suppose, deep down, I trusted Him more than I thought.
