Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9
06/18/09 The Lord tells us to be strong. What does it mean to be strong in God’s economy? Remember that God’s economy is topsy turvy. That means backwards. When we are at our strongest, it is because we are vulnerable to Him. We have given up control so that He may be in control. We have given up our rights so that He may shine through in our lives. Being strong means doing the will of Jesus regardless of whether it is what we want to do. Real strength is when you have practiced this principle so often that what we really want to do IS God’s will! Being strong is forgiving. Being strong is taking responsibility. Being strong is loving an enemy. What other ways can you think of to be strong? Don’t forget to consider your thoughts from God’s point of view.
