He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6
06/17/09 This verse tells me that Jesus will complete His work in us. When He stops working on us, we will be finished. There will be no premature or abrupt end to the work He is doing. Death will not cause a glitch in God’s plan. It’s part of His plan. He knows if we will backslide and stop growing. So, that occurrence doesn’t cause a problem with Jesus completing His work in us, either. We need to remember that we will not all be at the same level of maturity or closeness to God when we are complete. Jesus will bring to completion the good work He is doing in the lives of all of those who belong to Him. He is steadily working on this project until the Father turns to Him and gives Him the next assignment saying, “Alright, Son, it’s time to go pick up the kids.”
