You alone are the Lord. You give life to everything, and the multitudes of heaven worship You. Nehemiah 9:6
06/23/09 This verse says that the multitudes of heaven worship God. What is a multitude? It’s a lot, for certain. When I hear the word, I picture endless armies of human-looking creatures. Who or what would be part of the multitudes of heaven? Not us since we’re here on the earth. Could it be angels? I think so. Every member of that endless army of human-looking creatures now has a set of huge, beautiful wings on their backs! And they are all worshiping God. How? In song? On their knees? With their heads lowered? Or their eyes raised? Are they smiling? What sound do their wings make? Are their wings raised like some of us raise our hands in worship? When we arrive in heaven and dwell with this multitude, how will we worship the Lord, our God, our Maker?
