Fools Rush In by Janice Thompson AND PIZZA RECIPES

Delightful Romantic Comedy for Readers
Italian beauty meets charming Texan
in this new heartwarming (and hilarious) fiction series

Fools Rush In is the printed page’s equivalent of a Hollywood romantic comedy hit, with its perfect blend of love and loads of laughter. Delivered by seasoned author Janice Thompson and her delightful cast of characters, Fools Rush In is the first book in the Weddings by Bella series, featuring a beautiful (albeit single) wedding planner, her boisterous Italian family and the antics they encounter with the family’s wedding-planning business.

In Fools Rush In, readers meet Bella Rossi, who may be nearing thirty, but her life is just starting to get interesting. When her Italian-turned-Texan parents hand over the family wedding planning business, Bella is determined not to let them down, transforming the business into one specializing in themed weddings. First up? A “Boot Scoot’n” country-western wedding that would make any Texan proud.

When a misunderstanding leads her to the DJ (and man) of her dreams, things start falling into place. But with a family like hers, nothing is guaranteed. Can the perfect Texan wedding survive a pizza-making uncle with mob ties, an aunt who is a lawsuit waiting to happen, and a massive delivery of 80 cowboy boots? Will Bella run the family business into the ground or
will her family scare off the one guy she’s set her heart on?

And will Bella ever get to plan her own wedding?

Book one in the Weddings by Bella series, Fools Rush In is fun, fresh, and full of surprises. Readers will love the flavorful combination of Italian and Tex-Mex, and the hilarity that ensues when cultures clash.

Janice Thompson is a seasoned romance author and native Texan. An experienced wedding coordinator herself, Thompson brings the everyday drama and humor of getting married alive in her books. She lives in Texas.

Here's my review of this wonderfully entertaining book:

First of all, I would like to extend a heartfelt “Thank you” to Janice Thompson and her publisher for sending me a copy of "Fools Rush In" to review for them. I have always been grateful for this generosity, and I am trying to improve at being consistent in taking the time to thank these wonderfully giving individuals in a public forum. I really appreciate your time, effort and expense in making a reviewer copy available to me.

Janice Thompson’s novel “Fools Rush In” is an incredibly enjoyable read! Filled with humor and love and a loud New Jersey Italian family that has relocated to Galveston Island in Texas, this romantic tale thoroughly satisfies! I am overjoyed that the front cover touts this as “Book One” in the “Weddings by Bella” Series! I cannot wait for more time and new adventures with these colorful and entertaining characters that remind me of my own New York Italian upbringing.

Bella is taking over her parents’ wedding planning business and adding her own twist: theme weddings. When a client requests a “Boot Scootin’ Country-Western Wedding”, Bella is at a loss, knowing nothing about country music. When a divine appointment connects her to a handsome D.J. with a love of all things country and western, it seems that the Lord has intervened in Bella’s favor in more ways than one.

This fun-loving two-step is a tasty blend of Tex-Mex meets Mambo Italiano. I absolutely loved this book! From the adorable front cover to the charming sing-song chapter titles that had me humming or singing as I began each new section, I was charmed from front to back. The only thing missing from the pages of this terrific read was a recipe for Rosa’s rosemary chicken, but I will make my own version of D.J.’s pizza for sure!

We tried it last night. The pizza was delicioso!

This book inspired me. I hope it inspires you as well. For this post, leave a comment with YOUR favorite pizza recipe. Here's one of mine. I'll think up a catchy name and song at another time.

let cool 10 minutes, cut into slices and serve - with a fork...

crumble and brown sausage in skillet over medium-high heat until no longer pink.

Stacey, thank you again and again for this sweet review! I'm so grateful and so glad you liked the book. Happy about DJ's pizza, too! I've been giving some thought to writing Aunt Rosa's cookbook (and/or posting her recipes on my website) because book two is ALL about food. (Aunt Rosa gets a gig on the Food Network in book two.) Mama Mia. . .will I need help with the recipes, though. I'm not much of an Italian chef!

Homiletics Training: Content

Homiletics .   By definition, “homiletic” is the art of preaching or writing sermons.   I think we would all agree that our pastors study the Bible thoroughly to deliver sermons every Sunday to their congregations.   The beautiful news is that every child of God can use this discipline to study the Bible for themselves. As a member of Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) Leadership, part of my required preparation each week is to prepare homiletics for the passage we are studying.   BSF offers an engaging seminar on how to use this method to study the Scriptures.   I’ve taken the seminar several times under two different leaders and I’ve learned something new every time I’ve attended.   I’ve also been doing the process of homiletics for over ten years and I can say that there is no better teacher than the Holy Spirit in this process!   So keep practicing.   Keep sharing and discussing.   I’ve been posting my homiletics on this blog for quite a while, now.   And I would like to share wit
