Praise God in His sanctuary; praise Him in His mighty heavens. Praise Him for His acts of power; praise Him for His surpassing greatness. Psalm 150:1-2
02/24/09 Every time I see this verse, I think of two songs. Hillsong’s “Praise Him” and Sonicflood’s “Lord of the Dance”. Several years ago, my love for this Psalm and those songs prompted me to write a Bible study on Psalm 150. I learned so much during that time. One thing I learned was that this is our primary purpose in life – to praise God. Hallelujah! How do you praise God? At church on Sunday? When you’re out enjoying nature and are reminded of His majesty? When He delivers you from a real mess? When He saves the soul of someone for whom you’ve been praying for what seems like forever? Do you praise Him for the difficulties that mold your character? Do you praise Him for the circumstances that draw you nearer to Him? Do you praise Him just for being Him? For creating you? Praise Him for something today that you don’t normally praise Him for.
