“Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.” Hebrews 13:5-6
06/12/09 What are you afraid of? I’m not afraid of death. I know where I’m going when I die. I used to be afraid of being alone, but since I have Jesus, I am never alone. I can’t remember if I was ever afraid of the dark. But since the Light of the world lives in my heart, I am never in darkness. I’m still a bit creeped-out by scorpions. But I understand that God has a purpose for them. They are even mentioned in the Bible unlike lots of other animals. I’ve never been afraid to fly. I’ve never feared heights. I used to fear needles, but then I got pregnant, and every time I turned around the doctor wanted blood for something. Oh, wait. I’ve got it. I know what I’m afraid of…disappointing Jesus. I don’t want to miss a single opportunity He gives me to share or minister, and I know I have. But He still loves me. And you.
