Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur each other on toward love and good deeds. Hebrews 10:23-24
06/04/09 We are taught in this verse that we should also contemplate how to spur each other on toward good deeds. Are you putting any thought into this? Perhaps you do if you’re a parent…or a teacher. It can be difficult to motivate others to behave. But many of our pastors do this every Sunday when they preach from the Bible how we should act as Christians. I listen to Air-1, a Christian radio station. They are in the habit of having a segment on their morning show called “Make A Difference Monday” in which callers describe acts of benevolence that they’ve done, seen, or experienced at the hand of someone else. That segment is a wonderful way to spur each other on to good deeds! How could you employ a similar idea to motivate your brothers in Christ?
