“Surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:20

06/16/09 We are very near the end of the age. What age? Some call it the church age. Others have dubbed it the age of the gentiles. The end of the age will lead to judgment day – when the sheep will be separated from the goats and ushered into their eternal dwellings. I frequently say that I need to get my soap box and my “the end is near” sign. Every day we get through gets us closer to the end. Do you expectantly live each day as if it may be your last? Or do you imagine that we are a long way off from meeting our Maker face-to-face? No one knows the day or the hour. Some scholars believe that the rapture of the church will correspond with the Jewish holiday, Rosh Hashana, fulfilling the next feast on the Hebrew calendar. The important question is: are you ready?

Homiletics .   By definition, “homiletic” is the art of preaching or writing sermons.   I think we would all agree that our pastors study the Bible thoroughly to deliver sermons every Sunday to their congregations.   The beautiful news is that every child of God can use this discipline to study the Bible for themselves. Armor of God – Week One – Sizing Up The Enemy

Welcome to Boot Camp!   For the next seven weeks we will be training with our weapons (God’s Word and prayer) in preparation for the battle of our lives and the lives of others!   And we will be learning how to equip ourselves with the Armor of God.
