Here is my review of this terrific novel:
First of all, I would like to extend
a heartfelt “Thank you” to Julie Lessman and her publisher for sending me a copy
of "A Love Surrendered" to review for them. I am truly grateful for this
generosity. I really appreciate the time, effort and expense it takes to make a
reviewer copy available to me.
Julie
Lessman’s “A Love Surrendered” is the latest novel in her Winds of Change
series chronicling the lives of the O’Connors of Boston. Annie Kennedy wants to grow up and experience
the life that her sister, Maggie, enjoyed during her college days. Now that Annie and her little sister, Grace,
are orphans and living with their spinster Aunt in Boston, Annie has the
opportunity to frequent Maggie’s old stomping grounds and actually befriends her
sister’s “friends”. But how far will
Annie go to grow up? Especially when her
heart races whenever she thinks about Steven O’Connor, who just happens to be
her sister’s former beau.
Filled
with lots of twists and turns and O’Connor family drama, this wonderful novel
will make the reader feel like a fly on the wall watching one of the most
passionate families in literature! “A
Love Surrendered” made me laugh and brought a tear to my eye. And the heartwarming conclusion definitely
brought a smile to my lips.
