REVIEW: Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen


“Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” was a major disappointment. Why do Autobots need to cuss? And the bits with the dogs were completely unnecessary. What happened to Transformers being for kids? I suppose the filmmakers think that the kids have grown up, and so the movies need to grow up, too. So they add more mature subject matter, language and sexual references. Wrong! Actually, these additions don’t add anything to the movie at all. If I were a representative of the Hasbro toy company, I would be ashamed to have my company name affiliated with this movie. And, sadly, the majority of the laughing during the fouler moments came from the kids!

After I got what bothered me about the film off my chest, I was able to pinpoint a few things that I actually enjoyed about the movie. The best film moments were the Autobot-Decepticon fight sequences, any moment that Optimus Prime was onscreen (he never cusses, by the way), and Bumblebee, of course. He’s so excited to go to college with Sam! Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson and Shia LaBoeuf aren’t slouches, either. And Megan Fox is gorgeous!

Armor of God – Week One – Sizing Up The Enemy

Welcome to Boot Camp!   For the next seven weeks we will be training with our weapons (God’s Word and prayer) in preparation for the battle of our lives and the lives of others!   And we will be learning how to equip ourselves with the Armor of God.
