Here is my review of this wonderful book:
First of all, I would like to extend a heartfelt “Thank you” to Ruth Tuttle Conard and her publisher for sending me a copy of "Designer Women" to review for them. I have always been grateful for this generosity, and I am trying to improve at being consistent in taking the time to thank these wonderfully giving individuals in a public forum. I really appreciate your time, effort and expense in making a reviewer copy available to me.
“Designer Women” by Ruth Tuttle Conard is a brilliantly assembled tribute to several well-known and some not-so-well-known women of the Bible. The contribution to Biblical history and womankind in general by each of these women is to be lauded. Biblical culture was very male dominated. This book highlights the importance and value that God places on women. The women examined in this work are: Eve, Zelophehad’s daughters, Zipporah, Hagar, Ruth, the crippled woman of Luke 13:10-17, Anna, Elizabeth, Jesus’ mother Mary, Dorcas and Priscilla.
Each chapter speaks of a different woman and a characteristic that God has taught through her story. This is a book that I will use as a devotional reading over and over again.
