Chapter 14 is the final part of the break between the sixth
and seventh trumpets. The Lamb stands on
Mount Zion with the 144,000 Jews – Chuck calls them the 144,000 commandos! Chuck suggests that heaven isn’t as far away
as we imagine – that it may be another dimension of our present existence. Is it just me? Or does that sound like Frank Piretti’s “This
Present Darkness”?
Anyway, back to Zion.
This is apparently where Jesus will be placed on the throne of
David. This is one prophecy that has yet
to be fulfilled. And it will be
fulfilled when Jesus reigns during the millennium. We’ll talk about that more in a couple weeks.
The Warrior-King that the Jews expected when Christ first
came is the Ruler Who will come for us.
And when He returns with His army, those of us who are part of His body
will return with Him. Ooh, I’ve got chills! I cannot wait.
Homework for next time:
Read chapters 15 & 16.
