Bible Study: As It Was In The Beginning - Genesis - Chapter 43

43:2 – Why didn’t Jacob send someone back to Egypt right away to get Simeon? The loss of Joseph must have crushed him. He must have felt the deceit of his other sons. He had been living in defeat for 20 years! How long did it take them to eat all of the grain? SIMEON WAS STILL IN PRISON!!! Joseph may not have given them too much so they couldn’t talk themselves out of returning to Egypt with Benjamin.

Homiletics .   By definition, “homiletic” is the art of preaching or writing sermons.   I think we would all agree that our pastors study the Bible thoroughly to deliver sermons every Sunday to their congregations.   The beautiful news is that every child of God can use this discipline to study the Bible for themselves.
