Here is my review of this incredible teen suspense novel:
First of all, I would like to extend a heartfelt “Thank you” to Dawn Miller and her publisher for sending me a copy of "The Prophecy" to review for them. I have always been grateful for this generosity, and I am trying to improve at being consistent in taking the time to thank these wonderfully giving individuals in a public forum. I really appreciate your time, effort and expense in making a reviewer copy available to me.
Dawn Miller’s young adult thriller “The Prophecy” is one of Zondervan’s Guaranteed Good Reads. I originally requested this book for my daughter. She enjoys Christian teen romance and drama as well as the uber-popular Twilight Series. So, I thought this book would be right up her alley. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to coerce her into reading it…YET.
“The Prophecy” is written beautifully with a youthful voice. It is a tale of angelic warfare that has entered the corporeal realm because of five teenagers who are capable of ending the war. When the eyes of these teens are opened to this hidden world, the real adventure begins.
This book is gripping and suspenseful regardless of the age of the audience. I will be on the lookout for more novels in The Watchers series. Another bonus of the book is a cool set of discussion questions that can be used by a teen reading group. I will definitely continue to try to get my 16 year-old to read this novel.
