Homiletics Genesis 27

 

Content (not sentence, direct verbiage from Scripture, fit on one line):

1.Isaac eyes weak, called Esau;I old;go hunt;prepare tasty food,I give blessing(27:1-4)

2.Rebekah listening;to Jacob: father say Esau;bring tasty food,I give blessing;listen, do(5-8)

12.took birthright, now taken blessing;I made him lord over you;Bless me too father(36-38)

13.your dwelling away from richness;live by sword,serve brother;Esau grudge, kill Jacob(39-41)

14.Rebekah: Esau planning killing you;Flee to Laban Haran;stay until brother’s fury subsides(42-44)

15.When brother forgets I’ll send for you(45)

16.Rebekah to Isaac:if Jacob takes wife women this land life not worth living(46)

Homiletics .   By definition, “homiletic” is the art of preaching or writing sermons.   I think we would all agree that our pastors study the Bible thoroughly to deliver sermons every Sunday to their congregations.   The beautiful news is that every child of God can use this discipline to study the Bible for themselves. Armor of God – Week One – Sizing Up The Enemy

Welcome to Boot Camp!   For the next seven weeks we will be training with our weapons (God’s Word and prayer) in preparation for the battle of our lives and the lives of others!   And we will be learning how to equip ourselves with the Armor of God. Priscilla Shirer’s Armor of God Bible study is a MUST-DO for EVERY BIBLE STUDENT!   I don’t mean to shout, but I can’t emphasize this enough!!!   We are at war boys and girls.   And our enemy wants to keep us in the dark about that fact.   If he can convince us that he does not exist or that our God is not good or that we are not loved and treasured by the King and Creator of the Universe, he wins the battle.   But can I share something with you?   OUR ENEMY HAS ALREADY LOST THE WAR!!!!!   His time is short and he is grasping at anything we leave dangling in an attempt to drag us down.   So let’s not leave too much dangling.
