A Heart Divided by Kathleen Morgan

When fate brings them together, they must choose between family ties and love.

The Caldwells and Wainwrights have been feuding for decades. Still, Sarah Caldwell has misgivings when her father pressures her into distracting a ranch hand while he and her brothers rob the Wainwright place. When it becomes clear that hand is actually Cord Wainwright, heir of the Wainwright holdings, Sarah realizes things have gone too far.

As the feud boils over, Cord and Sarah make a most inconvenient discovery--they just might be falling in love. Can they betray their families to see where this attraction leads? Or will their families betray them?

Against the beautiful and wild backdrop of the Rocky Mountains in 1878 comes this sweeping saga of romance, betrayal, and forgiveness from beloved author Kathleen Morgan.

Here is my review of this incredible novel:

First of all, I would like to extend a heartfelt “Thank you” to Kathleen Morgan and her publisher for sending me a copy of "A Heart Divided" to review for them. I am truly grateful for this generosity. I really appreciate the time, effort and expense it takes to make a reviewer copy available to me.

“A Heart Divided” by Kathleen Morgan is the panoramic first installment in the Heart of the Rockies series. This western-flavored retelling of the age-old “family rivals fall in love” romance finds Cord Wainwright and Sarah Caldwell at odds because of the feud inspired by their last names. But the fire that burns between them singes the pages of this incredible novel.

When the Caldwells rob the Wainwright ranch, Sarah reluctantly participates by keeping Cord Wainwright “distracted”. When he spots her in town a few days later, he detains her so that she can be arrested. But the sheriff is out of town, so Cord must take her home with him so she doesn’t escape justice. But what develops between them has the potential to ignite a full-blown war between their families.
This beautifully written novel captures the breathtaking landscape and sets the reader’s heart fluttering. Each character is meticulously crafted, each situation painstakingly plotted. This is a thoroughly satisfying read.

Homiletics Training: Content

Homiletics .   By definition, “homiletic” is the art of preaching or writing sermons.   I think we would all agree that our pastors study the Bible thoroughly to deliver sermons every Sunday to their congregations.   The beautiful news is that every child of God can use this discipline to study the Bible for themselves. As a member of Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) Leadership, part of my required preparation each week is to prepare homiletics for the passage we are studying.   BSF offers an engaging seminar on how to use this method to study the Scriptures.   I’ve taken the seminar several times under two different leaders and I’ve learned something new every time I’ve attended.   I’ve also been doing the process of homiletics for over ten years and I can say that there is no better teacher than the Holy Spirit in this process!   So keep practicing.   Keep sharing and discussing.   I’ve been posting my homiletics on this blog for quite a while, now.   And I would like to share wit
