Eulogy
Every life must end – even a blameless life. The last thing we leave behind (besides our family and friends) is the epitaph on our gravestone and our obituary. So, at the risk of sounding morbid, I issue a final challenge to you that I pray will open your eyes and inspire you. Take a few minutes to write out what you want your epitaph or obituary to say. Or, if you’re feeling really creative, write out how you would like a friend or family member to eulogize you. Then pray that God will help you live up to what you’ve written.
Release Your Burdens
It can be scary to be on your own at first. You may not have any idea where to go from here. I urge you to continue spending time with God. Don’t allow yourself to be tempted to give the time you’ve been devoting to Him over the last few weeks to some other endeavor. On the lines below, I encourage you to release your burdens. Actually give them to God. Make note of every fear and apprehension. Take all the time you need to get everything out in the open.
Now that you’ve unloaded, spend some time praying that God will remove these burdens and refresh you. Ask Him to encourage you daily to be with Him.
To be taught by God, we must be in communication with Him. He communicates in many ways, one of which is through His Word. Spend time in the Word daily. Choose the stories that excite and inspire you. Read them and write down your thoughts or questions in your journal. What do you want to read today?

Keep It Up!
Living the blameless life is hard work when you attempt it under your own power. Only when you allow God to live blamelessly through you will you be successful. It may seem at times to be more burdensome to live blamelessly. You may be telling yourself things like,
“I don’t have time to read the Bible.”
“I don’t know how to pray.”
“I don’t know how to study the Word of God without a guidebook.”
“Journaling is too time consuming, and I don’t know what to say.”
“Scheduling time with God is silly.”
Hopefully, you have developed some skills and techniques that will help you continue and grow in your walk with God. I pray that you will lean on Him so hard that you won’t be able to balance yourself without Him. I won’t lie and tell you that “you can do it.” You can’t. But I will say, “He can do it through you.” All you have to do is let Him.
The Greatest of These
I believe in my heart that truly blameless living can be summed up by 1 John 3:14. It says,
We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers. Anyone who does not love remains in death.
Heed the words sung by the band By the Tree: “get back to the root of it all.” The key to living the blameless life is loving. If you get nothing else from this study, I pray that you will walk away knowing that you must love. Look up the following verses on love. (Luke 6:27, 35, Matthew 19:19 , Mark 12:30, John 13:34, 35, John 14:23, 24, Romans 5:5)
God commands us to love. We are to love Him. We are to love our neighbors. We are to love each other. We are even to love our enemies. He empowers us to love like this because He has poured His love into us! So, love well, my friends.
