12 March 2013 Contents:             Where?                   Mahanaim, Succoth, Shechem                                  Who?   Jacob and caravan, Esau 1 32:1-5 Jacob names Mahanaim when he sees angels and sends messengers to meet Esau that Jacob might find favor in his sight. 2 32:6-8 Messengers tell Jacob Esau is coming and Jacob is afraid and divides caravan into 2 companies so one might escape if they’re attacked. 3 32:9-12 Jacob prayed God would deliver him from Esau and reminded God of promises to prosper him and make descendants numerous. 4 32:13-21 Jacob slept, selected a gift for Esau, instructed his servants about greeting Esau and slept again. 5 32:22-24 He rose, moved his family and possessions across the stream, then wrestled with a man until daybreak. 6 32:25-27 The man dislocated Jacob’s thigh but Jacob wouldn’t let go till the man blessed him.

The 7 Experiment by Jen Hatmaker – Week 7

Spending This week’s group meeting was the most liberating time.   Several of us admitted that we are very frustrated with not being able to accomplish what we would like to in the one-week allotted time for each topic.   One of our participants suggested taking baby steps.   Change one thing.   Then change another thing.   Then another.   We don’t have to accomplish everything at once.   In fact, I don’t believe we CAN.   Hallellujah!   Jen Hatmaker took a month to do each of these things.   Habits can develop in a month, but generally not in a week.   Keep striving, sisters and brothers! Now onto the subject of spending…   I didn’t engage in a fast.   In fact, I am trying to get other areas under control, so I’m spending more right now to get my garden in shape for summer.   The majority of my income is spent on mortgage, car payment, monthly bills like power, water, etc. and debt.   I don’t eat out much.   Usually once a month with my Sunday School class.   Not only can’t

Contents ( not sentence, direct verbiage from Scripture ):   Where?                                                                 Who? 1 11:1-3 Ppl complained, L heard, anger aroused, fire burned among them, ppl cried to M, he prayed, fire died. 2 4-9 Rabble crave meat, remember fish, cukes,melons, leeks, garlic; now we see manna, like coriander, ppl gather/cook, when dew settled manna came. 3 10-15 M heard wailing, L bec angry, MtoL: why you burden ppl on me? Where I get meat? Burden too heavy, kill me. 4 16-17 LtoM: bring 70 elders ToM, I take some pwr of Spirit on you & put on them, they share burden. 5 18-20 Tell ppl: consecrate selves, tomorrow you eat meat, not for 1, 2, 5, 10 or 20 days, but whole mo until it comes out nostrils & you loathe bec you rejected L. 6 21-25 M: 600,000 men on foot
